Katey is passionate about helping couples navigate the complexities of their relationships and build stronger, more authentic connections. She works with couples who are ready to step outside their comfort zones to better understand themselves and each other. Katey believes that meaningful change in relationships begins with empathy—whether it's empathy for your partner, empathy for yourself, or empathy from an outside perspective. She helps couples explore these dynamics in order to bridge gaps, heal from past wounds, and create lasting change that deepens their connection.

Operating from an EFT (Emotionally Focused) lens, Katey’s goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where both partners feel seen, heard, and empowered to create positive change in their relationship. By bringing a holistic perspective to couples therapy, she takes into account all aspects of a couple's life, including personal histories, communication patterns, and external influences like family dynamics and work stressors. She also works with relevant stakeholders (family members, healthcare professionals, etc.) as appropriate, using a systems-based approach to address relationship challenges from all angles.

Katey is trained in trauma therapy, particularly EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which she integrates into her couples therapy work to help partners process past trauma and heal together. She enjoys working with diverse couples, including those from the LGBTQIA+ community, and is especially passionate about supporting couples where one or both partners serve in helping professions, such as healthcare workers, therapists, first responders, and law enforcement.

Whether you're struggling with communication, intimacy, trust, or navigating external pressures, Katey is dedicated to helping couples develop healthier, more resilient relationships and create the deep emotional connection they desire.
