Katey is excited to work with clients who are ready to risk stepping outside their own comfort zone to more fully understand themselves. She believes that change begins with empathy. Whether it’s empathy for others, empathy for ourselves, or empathy from an outsider looking in; empathy will help us bridge interpersonal and societal gaps and help us heal from our past. When we are emotionally attuned with ourselves and others, we are able to change how we interact and engage with others in order to genuinely connect with those around us and create sustainable changes that lead us to a richer life.
Katey’s goal is always to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for clients to feel seen, heard, and empowered to create change in their lives. She also bring a holistic perspective, taking into account all areas and contexts of peoples' lives and work with relevant stakeholders (family members, friends, healthcare professionals, employers, etc.) as appropriate, to ensure a systemic lens is considered.
Katey is eager to help those confronting relationship struggles, be it family, romantic, peer, or work relationships. She enjoy working with those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and has a special passion to help those who serve others (e.g. other therapists, healthcare staff, first responders, law enforcement, and more).
